Expanding Resources

As my educational journey continues, I am expanding my resources.

Today I explored the Save the Children website.  I learned that this organization serves children in the U.S. and around the world.  Because it also serves children in the U.S. I have selected it as a resource.  They believe "that every child deserves a future." (2020)

I've selected this organization because it serves children all over the world, including the U.S. It also has a variety of ways to help: donate, volunteer, advocate, fundraising, sponsoring a child, and gift buying.  They work in health, education, protection, gender equality, policy and advocacy, and emergency response.  I also selected this organization because I want a different perspective of what children face here in the U.S. and around the world.

I am excited to learn more about this organization in the future weeks of this class.

  1. Hi Rebecca,
The Save the Children organization mission is to help children. I agree with their mission, because it a lot of children here in Baltimore that lives in poverty, that sees violence everyday and that need help from other people to help them survive.

  2. Hi Rebecca,
Great choice of the Save The Children website. The information and resources the site provides are both beneficial to children and educators. The site I chose was also decided by a want to gain a different perspective of what children face globally and not just at home.
